Reese Linnell was born in Red Wing, Minnesota, raised on U.S. Navy bases, and returned to Stillwater, Minnesota, after his father's retirement, to complete high school. Determined to make the annual Army / Navy football game interesting at home, Reese enlisted in the U.S. Army. It was while he was stationed in Hawaii (somebody has to suffer for Uncle Sam) that he met his future wife, Roxanne. Together Reese and Roxanne have celebrated the birth of three daughters and as a family they enjoy the company of a Golden Retriever. Reese is a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, Wingate University, and Wake Forest University, and is currently a doctoral student at Faulkner University. Reese has served local churches as a youth leader and pastor, traveled on multiple mission trips, and been an academic adviser and faculty member at Stanly Community College.
When the family is not actively engaged in ministry or working on the next book, you will find them at the beach, in the stadium at a Wingate, North Carolina State, or Wake Forest football game cheering the Bulldogs or WolfPack, or Deacons to another victory, or on the road to somewhere they have never been before.
